Frequent Sexual Activity May Help Heart Attack Patients Live Longer

 4 months ago       56 Views

Heart attack patients may fear that sexual intimacy could trigger another episode. A new study suggests, however, that sex may actually help keep the ticker ticking longer.

Research published in June 2019 in The American Journal of Medicine showed that heart attack survivors who had sex more than once a week were 27 percent less likely to die during the 22 year study period compared with those who did not have sex at all. The likelihood of dying was 12 percent less for those who had intercourse once a week and 8 percent less for those who were intimate less than once a week but still had relations occasionally.
