For the past 6-months, I have been taking prebiotics and probiotics together each morning. Many people take probiotics for gut health, but they should also take prebiotics, which are the food for probiotics. You need food, and as microorganisms, so do they. It is known that that prebiotics and probiotics improve constipation, which many with PD have. However, I have also noticed a marked decrease in my other symptoms, such as my arm and leg tremors. There looks like that there may be indeed a gut-mind connection.
