Pansy ass sissy white blood cells...I think I'll try some bribery

Written June 10, 2013 11:27pm

As I reflect on chemo round two (Electric Boogaloo), I realize I took the wrong approach with those over dramatic emo white blood cells I share this body with.

I tried over enthusiastic encouragement, positive reinforcement, gold stars... no results. Slackers!!! Once again they decided to stay inside and sulk.

Immune system is at a minimum once again. I was hoping to show my face at work, but request for parole was denied. Looks like an exciting week of researching kale recipes and not actually introducing them into my daily diet.

It finally dawned on me today that they are pouting. Those of you who know me well know that I have this band I kinda like. Well in the midst of this pesky breast cancer I was forced to miss a Sevendust show in Duluth. Yes I know I've seen way too many but that's not the point. It's never enough! Anyhow, it was the first MN show in a long that I had to miss.

Ok, time out. This isn't really about my white blood count at all. I want to see how closely my husband pays attention to my journal entries. I did some research and it turns out that attending a Sevendust concert is equivalent to consuming a kilo of kale.

And turns out we're in luck... there just so happens that Sevendust will be in Rochester on July 13th (I've cleared my schedule).

So can we go can we go can we go? I promise I'll never ask again.. until my birthday.

Kind of makes it hard for him to say no now doesn't it? ;)
