Losing my hair to chemo

Last week was my second chemo treatment and my doc and nurses warned me that I would have a lot of hair loss starting after that infusion. A few days after, I did start to experience some hair loss but it only got significant a few days ago. I was losing a lot of hair, particularly in the shower. Let me tell you, it's not a fun chore cleaning hairglobs out of your shower that are the size of small animals. Yesterday and the day before, I was feeling like it was becoming pretty noticeable that I was losing my hair. The look of a balding woman, is less than ideal. Bald, you look bold - empowered. But *balding*, just wasn't a good look. So, I decided last night was as good a night as any and shaved my head. Here's to feeling the crisp winter breeze on the melon. Next stop: chrome dome.

Courtland, my mother (Debby B) has such admiration and respect for you...I've been learning about all the amazing and important work you (and your colleagues) do through your work. In addition to that, thank you for sharing your personal story. You are so very brave and a true inspiration to all those around you.
