6 Common Symptoms of Menopause

Menopause is a rite of passage all women go through. The natural age for menopause is around 50, but many women experience the symptoms of menopause from as early as 40. Menopause can also happen as a result of a hysterectomy or cancer treatment. Unfortunately, the symptoms of menopause are not hard to miss, but in case you are wondering if your current problems are menopause related, here is a quick rundown of the most common complaints.

Hair Loss

Many women find their hair begins to thin and fall out when they hit menopause. Hair loss is caused by changes in hormone levels, but unlike pregnancy where your hair recovers a year or so after the baby is born, hair is never the same again after menopause, although argan oil shampoo and other specialist hair products can help stem the loss.

Hot Flashes

Hot flashes are difficult to miss. You can be feeling fine one minute, and then the next it is as if someone has dropped you in the middle of the Amazon jungle. The intense heat of a hot flush is hard to endure. Women describe it as a wave of heat rising up in a crescendo, leaving buckets of sweat in its wake. You may only experience hot flashes occasionally, but they might also happen several times an hour if you are really unlucky.

Emotional Upset

Going through the menopause is like being on an emotional rollercoaster. One minute you are up; the next you are down. Menopause can cause depression and general anxiety. Things you would normally deal with quite easily become insurmountable problems and if your daughters are going through puberty at the same time, batten down the hatches for it is going to be a rough ride. You may want to try some ashtanga yoga or similar to get things rolling towards the best.

Sexual Dysfunction

A loss of libido is a very common complaint of menopausal women. This is down to hormonal changes, but other menopause symptoms such as weight gain, vaginal dryness and emotional upset all play their part and it is hardly surprising that you don’t feel like having sex. Luckily, for many women, their sex drive does return once menopause has passed.

Sleep Problems

It can be really hard to sleep when you are going through the menopause, especially if your hot flashes happen mainly at night. After all, waking up bathed in cold sweat is not conducive to a restful night’s sleep. Sleep problems can also compound the emotional issues experienced by menopausal women.

Recurrent UTIs

Urinary tract infections are common in menopausal women. If you are prone to UTIs, expect to have a lot more infections when menopause hits. You may also experience an ‘irritable’ bladder, where there is no apparent infection, but you feel discomfort anyway. Cystitis is often triggered by sex, particularly if a lack of vaginal lubrication is an issue, so be extra careful if you do actually feel like having sex.

There are many treatments to ease the nasty symptoms of menopause, so don’t ever feel as if you must suffer in silence.

I have been dealing with rheumatoid arthritis for my whole life, it started about in my early 30s back in the 90s. I would have my hand swell up to big red balloons around my knuckles and I wouldn't be able to move the hands at all. What I did notice that helped relieve the pain, but not the swelling was Absorbine Jr. The arthritis cream made it easier with the stiffness and the pain when I had the worst conditions. The swelling and the movement were still bad though and sometimes that made it hard to do the easiest of tasks around the house. The thing I noticed at first and the early signs were pain and the swelling. The swelling where my knuckles would get red where the first indications that I had rheumatoid arthritis I searched for alternative treatments and started on rheumatoid arthritis herbal formula i ordered from Health Herbal Clinic, my symptoms totally declined over a 5 weeks use of the rheumatoid arthritis disease natural herbal formula.i read reviews from other previous patients who used the herbal formula,i am now active, i can now go about daily exercise!!
