About Us

The Oticon Hearing Foundation supports non-profit humanitarian initiatives that further the Foundation's mission of empowering people with hearing loss.

Our goal is to support credentialed hearing care professionals and non-profit organizations in volunteer endeavors that meet the needs of children and adults with hearing loss who otherwise would not have access to hearing care and hearing instruments.

To ensure the broadest reach and benefits from our support, the Oticon Hearing Foundation provides hearing instruments only to hearing care professionals participating in non-profit humanitarian initiatives. We are not able to respond to individual requests for hearing instruments.

The foundation is funded by donations from Oticon, Inc., its parent the William Demant Holding (WDH) and Oticon-related companies as well as other organizations and individuals.

Global Missions

The Oticon Hearing Foundation Partners with volunteer hearing care professionals and non-profit organizations to provide sustainable access to hearing care and hearing solutions for people and communities around the world. These collaborative initiatives deliver immediate lasting benefits for people with hearing loss and the communities that serve them.

Among these initiatives is a partnership between the Oticon Hearing Foundation and the American Academy of Audiology Foundation (AAAF) to underwrite the cost of a humanitarian mission to remove riverfront communities near Parintins, Brazil. The practitioners selected for Project Amazon 2013 work side-by-side with staff from the Oticon Clinic in Parintins. The non-profit clinic is a service of the Viva o Som Foundation, a group dedicated to securing financial and human resources to improve the quality of life of people in Brazil's most impoverished communities.
