Living ahealthy lifestyle can help manage prediabetes or prevent it from progressing into type 2 diabetes. In order to prevent the progression of the disease, try to:
Eat healthily: choose foods that are low in fat and high in fiber
Be active: exercise for 30-60 minutes daily
Lose excess weight: if overweight it is suggested that you lose 5-10 % of your body weight.
Don't smoke
Take medication if prescribed
