How does ovarian cancer affect daily life?

Learning that you or someone you know has been diagnosed with cervical cancer, or any cancer, can be tough and overwhelming. It’s important to find out as much as you can about the condition and take steps to prevent or control symptoms.

  • Find someone to talk with. Discuss your feelings with a friend or family member, or you might prefer meeting with a formal support group.
  • Let people help. Cancer treatments can be exhausting. Let people know what would be most useful for you.
  • Set reasonable goals. Having goals helps you feel in control and can give you a sense of purpose.
  • Take time for yourself. Eat well, relax and get enough rest to help combat the stress and fatigue of cancer.
